Cell culture refers to a method that simulates the internal environment in vitro to make it survive, grow, reproduce and maintain its main structure and function. A variety of cell culture consumables are needed for cell culture, of which the cell culture bottle is the most widely used one.

The shape of the cell culture flask is square and the bottleneck is wide. This design is to facilitate the harvesting of cells. The side of the flask is usually frosted, which is convenient for the operator to record. In terms of specifications, the common consumables are 25cm2, 75cm2, 175cm2, 225cm2, etc. We usually refer to the capacity of the culture medium that the bottle can hold. There are different application scenarios according to different specifications.

Small size bottles of 25cm2 and 75cm2 are mainly used for cell recovery and small-scale expansion, mainly in the early stage of cell culture. It can also be used as a storage container to store various red blood cells. Larger bottles of 175 cm2 and 225 cm2 are mainly used for medium scale cell culture or eukaryotic protein expression. Protein expression is a molecular biological technology that uses bacteria, yeast, insect cells, mammalian cells or plant cells to express exogenous gene proteins, and is one of the important components of genetic engineering technology.

Cell culture flask are mainly used for the culture of adherent cells. Although different specifications differ in use, they must meet the requirements of cell growth, such as no DNase, no RNA enzyme, no endotoxin, no animal source, surface TC treatment, etc.

Labio’s cell culture flask has the following characteristics:

1.Made of virgin medical grade polystyrene(PS) material, featuring high transparency and good chemical resistance

2.Featuring smooth surface and uniform thickness vented cap design, with 0.22 μm hydrophobic filter for easy exchange

3.Sloping neck allowing easy operation of cell spatula and pipettors

4.With frosted written area on the neck, and graduations on both sides ultrasonic welding used between the cover and flask, avoiding leakage and metal in the adhesive

5.Stackable design for space saving and easy storage

6.Made in 100,000 grade clean room, featuring DNase, RNase, pyrogen and endotoxic free

7.Individually packed, sterilized by irradiation, SAL 10-6

8.Available in three capacities, TC treated or non treated to choose from.
