Requirements for the use of medical waste garbage bags

 

According to the regulations on the management of medical waste and the classification catalogue of medical waste, medical waste is divided into the following five categories:

1. Infectious waste.

The collection, transportation, temporary storage and disposal of medical waste shall be carried out according to regulations. The whole process from the place where medical waste is generated to the incineration disposal site for harmless incineration treatment should be included in the track of legal management, and strict and scientific management should be adhered to.

First of all, medical waste generated from medical institutions should be strictly identified. General medical waste should be put into yellow plastic bags, hazardous waste into red plastic bags, infectious waste into white plastic bags, general waste into black plastic bags, and sharp waste into hard containers.

1. The special packaging materials and containers for medical waste shall have obvious warning signs and instructions;

4. The culture medium, specimen, strain, virus seed preservation solution and other highly hazardous wastes of pathogens in medical waste shall be disinfected on the spot before being handed over to the centralized medical waste disposal unit for disposal;

5. The temporary storage facilities and equipment for medical waste shall be cleaned up and transported regularly;
