1. Material
The glass slide is a glass piece used to place the experimental materials during the experiment. 2. Function
A glass slide is a piece of glass or quartz used to place things when observing things with a microscope. When making a sample, a cell or tissue section is placed on the slide, and a cover glass is placed on it for observation.
3. Usage
1) The smear method is a method of making films that uniformly coats materials on glass slides.
Smear materials include single-celled organisms, small algae, blood, bacterial culture fluid, loose tissues of animals and plants, testis, anthers, etc.
2) The pressing method is to place biological materials between the glass slide and the cover slip, and apply a certain pressure to disperse the tissue cells.
3) The mounting method is a method in which biological materials are sealed as a whole to form a slide specimen, which can be made into temporary or permanent mounting.
Materials for loading slices include: tiny organisms such as Chlamydomonas, Spirogyra, Amoeba, and nematodes; Hydra, leaf epidermis of plants; wings, feet, mouthparts of insects, human oral epithelial cells, etc.
4) Slices are slide specimens made from thin sections cut from living organisms.
4. Cleaning Method
Wash with water or alcohol, and then wipe clean with cotton or gauze (it is best to use lens cleaning paper, fingers to avoid touching the glass slide, so as not to leave fingerprints on it, which will affect the next observation and use)
